Dance Theatre, Video Installation | 50 Min. Age: 11- 99 years *’But father – father!‘ she cried, ‚must it be so?‘ ‚He is coming for the last time, I promise you,‘ was the answer. ‚Only go now, go with the children – go – go to bed. Good night!‘ I felt as if I were turned to cold, heavy stone – my breath stopped. My mother caught me by the arm as I stood immovable. ‚Come, come, Nathaniel!‘ I allowed myself to be led, and entered my chamber! ‚Be quiet – be quiet – go to bed – go to sleep!‘ cried my mother after me; but tormented by restlessness and an inward anguish perfectly indescribable, I could not close my eyes. * from E. T. A. Hoffmann – The Sandman LULLABY – AUGEN ZU explores the character of Sandman from E. T. A. Hoffmann short story The Sandman together with repetitive tunes and lyrics of lullabies. We will appear falling somewhere in between the inseparable connection of dread and dream. Scared to death but calm and absolutely pacified ready to leave reality for dreaming, we will fly on wings of the space itself with its delicate light and reanimated shadows to step into our own falling asleep as it would be an almost paused moment for us to touch it and experience it through our sensory impressions. | 16 | 17 | 18 - cieLaroque/ Helene Weinzierl “THINK FISH”. Performance
19:00 -20:00 2016-06-18 Tęczowa 79/81, Wroclaw, Polen / Center of Art Initiatives cieLaroque/ Helene Weinzierl “THINK FISH” Performance We see a couple. We get the feeling that what we are seeing actually is not in a perfect harmony. It seems to be exhausting, unhealthy, laborious, and somehow it appears to be unpleasant, the harmony is missing. The absurdity reaches a peak when the structures of power collapse and dissolve due to missing or misunderstood communication. The two dancers show how different interpretations of a single theme or topic, approached from opposing attitudes and perceptions of understanding may lead to a completely absurd form of (mis)communication. concept and choreography: Helene Weinzierl dance and choreography: Yuri Korec, Viviana Escalé music composition: Oliver Stotz light design: Peter Thalhamer photos: Peter Huber duration: 25 minutes www.cielaroque.at Festival Junge Künstler Bayreuth, KosmosTheater Wien, tanzimpulse Salzburg und Theater im Ballsaal Bonn. „This event is made possible by INTPA – INTERNATIONAL NET FOR DANCE AND PERFORMANCE AUSTRIA of Tanzquartier Wien with funds by BKA and BMEIA“ - Panel Discussion.
